NOAH'S ARK (Poem #154)
A man named Noah built himself an ark.
Everyone thought he was crazyas a lark.
But Noah did as God had told
working each day with faith so bold.
Then as God had bid him to do,
he took on animals two by two,
Until two of each and every kind
was loaded on the ark just in time.
For then a rainstorm like never seen
began to howl and then to team.
Raining for 40 days and 40 nights
soon obliterated all the sights.
Nothing could be seen of the shore
until the Dove showed up at the door,
With an olive branch inside its beak
showing dry land was out there for them to seek.
