Our Prayer
They showed the buildings
Leveled to the ground
Clips of the search for bodies
That still need to be found
They showed people holding hands
And jumping off the top floor
I know they're in a better place
A place without pain, suffering, and war
They played conversations
Of voices crying"The ceilings are caving in."
The world is going to war
And America will win
The terrorists must feel the pain
That America feels now
"We'll get even with our attackers"
Is what our leaders vow
God, show you people
Open their eyes to your way
Help us find the answers
Listen to what we pray
America cannot stand
So together we crawl
Over the rubble of buildings
We never though would fall
America, Oh beautiful America
Bod, please shed your grace on thee
Save this country and her people
Home of the brave, Land of the free
Amen
