Please Speak Of Me Kind

I miss her like an amputee
I reach for her like a twisted cripple
I trust in her like prophecy
And still I'm held at a pike;
And still my heart must break down scars
 Where it past was vast broken
 alike
I listen like a devotee
I stumble home a mumbling madman
I love her fiercely, tenderly
And still I'm struck at a shield;
And still my soul is racked with burns
 and in turn may learn never
 to heal
I long for her, a slave to free
I learn from her as from a master
Delivers me from misery
And still I am barreled at bay;
And still my best intentions fail
 For the gales and hailstones
 Blowen my way

All is relative darkness, for hers is the
 day
Away into the night - Away

You who can choose for her,
Come stand in my shoes for her
And next time you speak for her
You'll speak of me kind'
You who decides for her
Come over my side for her
And next time your mind is made
Keep my love in mind

Please, when you speak of me to mine
Please, please... speak of me kind'

I flood as though my hull is broke'
She mends me fast like a torn mainsail
I shine as every word is spoke'
Each breath on which I am regaled
I billow pride like chimney smoke
She holds me fast where I flake and shale
My misgivings she quick' revokes
My agonies: but vapour trails

I need her as necessity
I'd burn her willing wicker-man
I sing for her my reverie
And still I'm stricken and strained;
And still my arms hang solemn, empty
 No gem in them to lift
 my pain
I know her as a part of me
I'm made by her as by a maker
I feel for her such tragedy
And still I'm cast ever astray;
And still my hands are bloodied by
 Careful lies in eyes,
 innocent they

All is relative darkness, for hers is the
 day
Away into the night - Away

You who can choose for her,
Come stand in my shoes for her
And next time you speak for her
You'll speak of me kind'
You who decides for her
Come over my side for her
And next time your mind is made
Keep my love in mind

Please, when you speak of me to mine
Please, please... speak of me kind'.
