Regrets turned prospects
Sometimes I still pause,
and I can't help but think back,
The sorrows I once caused,
feel like a burden on my neck
Though there may not be a point,
and it may pose many dangers,
There where memories are joint,
I envision many changes.
I would do all the donts,
not think about the coulds,
reconsider all the wonts,
and I'd live out all the shoulds.
Take the fullest out of life,
while I'm searching for the truth,
I'd eliminate all lies,
and recelebrate my youth.
I would confront all my fears,
and still carry out the mays.
I would unshed all those tears.
I would unwaste all those days.
When life imprisons you,
do not forfeit all hope.
Have faith in what you can do,
and you'll find a way to cope.
You can bring down those walls,
and I know those bars will bend.
You must grab life by the balls,
and your loved ones by the hand.
Now you know what should have been,
but that's not the way it went.
Once alternatives are seen,
chosen paths can still be bent.
So just switch off all regret,
when you're thinking of the past,
Ban those sorrows from your head,
'cause life passes by too fast.
Looking back may not be so useless,
when showing what you still desire.
You'll proceed no longer so clueless,
once knowing what's left to aspire.
So keep your head up son,
there's still so much you can do.
Learn from what's now gone,
and the future is for you!
