Since The Summer Solstice
well i'll bet we were just like bunnies
bouncing around our beautiful bungalow
catching carrots of gold in our mouths
and leaving little leaves in the dust to blow
well i guess we'll set our sights on another forest
for our wonderful little rabbit hole
maybe we'll settle in a nest on crenshaw boulevard
with our little ones near a traffic pole
well i'll bet we were just like bunnies
bathing in the beach doing somersaults
but we'll retreat in the wintertime
in the splinter of time as soon as the summer falls
we'll i bet we can both be funny dummies
sometimes when our hunger talks
but honey bee, remember me
cause you'll always and forever be my wonderwall
well i'll bet we were just like bunnies
bawling our eyes out at the thought of another nor-easter
but we'll be too busy burying shiny blue eggs in the grass
and running away from kids and kitty cats when its time for easter
well i'll bet spring didn't come as quick as it should have for us
cause our hormones haven't been coarsing this much since we were orphans
well i'll bet our big rabbit ears haven't shared this much music since the summer solstice
but our hearts have been hammering and our heads have been howling for everyone in the whole wide world to take notice
