Taps
I listen to that music as it plays every night.
I can't help but feel a sadness and pride
For those who fought an those who died
I think of those who charged ahead and gave their lives
So today we can have a freedom that still survives
I can't help but think of them as they went off to war
I wonder if they really knew what they were fighting for?
I go silent and lower the lights
as I listen to that music as it plays every night.
