The Day

On that one day everything changed
Everything, in a split second, changed
The world came together as one
We all joined hands in prayer for the people

On that one day the eagle shed tears for
all of those who had lost their lives or parents
He fell to the ground, like many others, and
prayed for the world
He knew he was not alone for there were
many who cried and prayed that day the
towers fell

That day was the day that terrorists took
the lives of innocent people
They took parents away from children
But they also brought the world closer
to each other

We will make it through this day
We will fight for what is right
We will bring back peace, safety, and
tranquility to the world
