The New Year

Jasmin Jay 2004 (Riverside California)

Ugh…
And so it ends
This year of casualties, calamity, and countless deaths
So long loser, lest the new year brings more terror

Ugh…
And so it ends
This year of forgotten friends filled with foul intentions
I hope not to see you again

Ugh…
And so it ends
This year of solitude, sickened grades, and semesters at home
Please leave my body you daemon of sloth and never return!

And so it ends...

And so it begins…
This year of casualties, calamity, and countless deaths
Let last year’s daemons stay there…
And allow the new years to come
