Take A Ride

Janice Cosey 1946 (Wilmington)

I was going to work one day,
And as I was, on my way, the skies,
The clouds of sad blurred my eyes.
A thought, a tear,  then wiped away.
I miss you!  I miss you all day!

After doing my what I went to do,
I turned the last corner and saw you.
Shouts of joy and glad to be here,
Giggles and hugs for me so dear.
All in the ride, a sunshine to cheer!
