Poems »

Throughout school I always loved English Grammar, but didn’t put it to use until I emigrated from England to Canada. There, with three children, I read a newspaper article which read, ‘No mother would ever write and ode to snow.” That tickled my funny bone, so I had to prove the writer wrong and rhymed off a POEM. He called me and asked for permission to publish it. I was hooked. Since then I’ve freelanced for newspapers and magazines and loved to write personal poems for family and friends, although Macular Degeneration has stolen much of my vision.
