I was born in 1967 and grew up in Santa Cruz, CA. I was raised by hippies who were my foster parents and never failed me. they were my 5th family. My mother was a lady of the night. so she lost me to the state at age 6 by 9 I was a unhinged violent young man till I got put with those wonderful hippies. I then met the woman for whom I wrote this poem 1981 first day 9th grade together tge hippies and she taught me the meaning of love. And the frailty of it
