True poetry written by a true poet. Beautiful work, Ludy.

As a man whose brother lost two children of his own, I can relate to this, if only secondhand. Cameron was 6 months old when my brother lost him, and Kori was 34 when she passed. Let your love and your life be Gary's legacy. Live for him so he can see life through your eyes and feel love through your heart. Thank you for sharing this beautiful piece with us. I am truly sorry for your loss. I hope you find peace.

All in fun. This was my smartass piece to prove a point. America is on the verge and Americans have had enough. Thank you for acknowledging it.

Calliope Queensland she were. Lovely gal indeed. Quite beautiful and feisty. She is missed dearly. The oddity and that we met online only to discover when she arrived that our birthdays both fell on March 12th - me two years her elder. Quite the kismet.

Anna was from Australia. She passed away in 2004 leaving four amazing kids motherless. I loved her very much. Thank you for the kind words.

I hope I didn't sicken the stomach too much there, Sue. I thought it came out pretty hilarious if I do say so myself. Thank you for hitting the off switch on your gag reflex long enough to wade through my muck.

Underwear older than 61? Those are some titanium-lined Fruit of the Looms, my friend.
This poem an obvious fun entry for me just like the Political Bullshit poem I entered. I didn't expect to do much with either but thought it may give the folks a chuckle.

If it makes you feel any better, this scared the hell out of me. ;-P On a serious note, I love the sincerity and honesty of this piece. In fact, I like this piece better than a couple that won. ;-)

Too good to not be at the top of the heap. Now let us see if this is the amazing poet I believe it to be. ;-)

Yes!!! Absolutely LOVE this one. I was reading it almost like a rap tune. That's how it reads with the rhythmic rhyming. The top portion is really cool because it eases you right into the bottom portion with the rhyming. Great job, LL Cool K.

American flag always good - very patriotic. I'm thinking of getting a tattoo of my face on my face, but then that would make me two-faced and who needs the disproportionate weight distribution what with me being so half-witted and such. Could throw the entire caboodle out of equilibrium. Like I need that taint on my resume'. :-P

No adjectives were harmed during the outpouring of my rampage. Always good to see one of the best poets on the site popping in. Hope you're well, Maestro, and thank you for the words.

Bottom line is, my sweet friend, I think Americans have all felt the sting of what's taken place in this country and we've all had just about enough from both sides of the aisle. It's all a show to keep We the People at odds and at bay. I absolutely LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this country, so I'll be damned if I'll sit back and watch it disintegrate into a third world cesspool. That goes for Democrats and Republicans who do nothing but offer us lip service. I don't care what party people belong as long as they love their country and want what's best for it. We have worked too long and hard to simply give it all away. Not on my watch. I'm grateful for people like you and Robin and those who love our great country. Thank you for enduring my slop. You're the best. :-)
