I wanted the poem to be short and sweet. Essentially, so many conversations simply have no meaning. People talk and talk but they talk about nothing. Thank you for your comment and advice

I wanted to write it as something a reader would have to look into on it....and maybe even get their own meaning. The realm of glassy surfaces is basically windows. I'm writing about a shut in....maybe elderly, or sick, or disabled. Who watches the world through their window, and along with being lonely they can feel themselves detaching from the outside world.
