Analysis of Embers of Remembrance

Ran to the edge of eternity,
I saw you wading in your brand new wind,
Always just out of hand,
Always just out of reach of time,
And I heard the whisper,
The name we all have come to know so well.

'Till the end of time I’ll hear your breath pass my ears,
As if dropped from your lips,
And carried away,
To one day, rustling, find me,
Listening intently,
Waiting for it all to end,
And maybe begin again one day.

Dancing through dreams of you and I,
I through yours,
You through mine,
On the edge of this shadowed forest,
Where the embers of remembrance,
Are only fuelled to roaring flame,
Hopeful that its light might guide our way,
To where we have never been,
And will be nevermore.
