Analysis of Dusk Awaits

These are the nights when dusk awaits,
To touch me deep, to feel you here,
Where shadows grow and content waits,
These are the nights of my heart.

Those nights I wait and whisper still,
Under your sheeting rain,
Where the mirrors direct
What the memories reflect,
To the deepening side of my symphony,
It's the only thing I can feel in me.

These are the nights that grow me cold,
With winter's bite and dreams untold,
'Till darkness' fall with dusk I'll wait,
These are the nights of disgrace.

The nights that I hate under shadower's will,
Facing the reeling pain,
Melancholy infects,
And the rain falls direct,
On the darkening side of my symphony,
It's your silent scream that I feel in me.
