Analysis of Your intentions

Your intentions
Were good
It’s just that you misunderstood
The technology
You issue your child
A digital leash
An electronic guardian, babysitter, and spy
We show them the door and provide the key
And allow them to see the world in its entirety
Unfettered, uncensored, and raw in form
The ugliness of humanity presented as the norm
To give a young mind access to this
To allow them to self-program in digital bliss
Then dare question ourselves with “what did we miss?”
When we allowed this environment to exist
Our intentions were good
But we misunderstood, our gift
Which was designed to lift, connect and convey
Though sadly has devolved to corrupt, confuse and dismay
And program our youth in new and horrific ways
To satisfy the flavor of the day
An endless binary Kool-Aid poured for our youth
Drink up my child
Unlimited data for you, only the best
How ironic to unwittingly poison our youth, our future
To be our own executioner
Giving our own children the digital rope, they need to hang themselves with
But then again, our intentions are good, and really isn’t that what matters in the end?!!?
Isn’t it?
Can you hear me now?
