Analysis of BIRTHPACE
mad hippie poet 1974 (new jersey)
Here, I stand on my birth ground. My silence is the only sound as my breath lingers in the air I am alone once again inside a womb that is not my mother. I'm sitting inside this old Nickelodeon, watching my life story on rewind.
What is this taste on my tongue, and the smell starting to reach my nose? What are my eyes trying to show me as I walk down these streets that some do not have names? What mind games are being played?
Every damn night is the same, and I do not know who to blame. What is the universe trying to show me in my moments of confusion and disappear? Is she trying to wrap her arms around me to show me that she cares
Here I stand on my birth ground, neither a boy nor a girl, a father or mother, a grandfather or grandmother, son nor daughter. Here I stand on my birth ground with the god and the devil they made me become to save myself from a world unknown
