Analysis of Give Your Soul a Chance

Give your soul a chance

Give your soul a chance to heal,
Spend time in holy rest,
Slow your life to a sacred pace,
Turn the volume down:
Give the Lord some time and space
Before your spirit drowns.

Give your soul a chance to breathe
The air atop God’s mount,
Let it clear your fog bound brain,
Open heaven’s window wide:
Watch it blow away the pain,
Watch peace and love abide.

About this poem

We have it in our power to slow down and rest, to slow down and heal. Life was meant to be enjoyed, not raced through.
