Analysis of SINS MADNESS

Deep in my madness, I was found by God
Lost in darkness, there I found His light
You tell me I'm wrong, that my faith is rather odd
I tell you to listen,  His Grace makes me right

But my Salvation is worth any Price
You laugh, mock, you say I'm insane
For to me, for me, to live is Christ
But to die, that is nothing but gain

This life is now live, it's no longer mine
I died the day He found me, so I no longer live
But it's Christ, Lives in me, Him you will find
See in me His Grace, know that He will forgive

The madness of sin quickly fades away
Now I'm made sane, then you say I'm insane
But I know I lived for pride when I was astray
Now pride is broken, my sin was made plain

So here I am, I'm bowing before my King
You shake your head, laugh, walk away
I praise God, you say there's nothing
You're laughing as I bow to pray

I tell you what I see, looking at you
Chains of sin, tightly you are bound
In sin's madness you don't see true
You are Lost, waiting to be found

So I pray, you'll see this Light in me
I pray in madness you'll be found
See this Light, you'll finally see
The chains that you're tightly bound

You laughed, but now you're weeping
You were blind, now you're seeing plain
You're awake, who once were sleeping
Once insane, in Him, life you truly gain
Amen

About this poem

In the same way, count yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus. 12 Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body so that you obey its evil desires. 13 Do not offer any part of yourself to sin as an instrument of wickedness, but rather offer yourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to life; and offer every part of yourself to him as an instrument of righteousness. 14 For sin shall no longer be your master, because you are not under the law, but under grace. Romans 6:11-14
