Safe Haven

My clouds are gray,
As the daylight’s waning.
Hope abruptly left my life,
Cutting me like a knife.
Life’s sometimes too much,
I feel so out of touch.
What is reality?
It is but a dream with in a dream.
Can’t wait until the day,
When I start to fade away.
Until then, I will run,
To the place I feel safe:
My mind.

About this poem

Sometimes life feels great. Other times, life throws you curve balls. Where do you go when you are hurting? For me, I go to my world. A world of wonders and a world that I can trust.
