The After Youth

The After Youth

Bulletproof to life,
Immune to pain.
Thriving on thunder,
Thirst quenched by rain.

Double fistfuls of anger,
Courage beyond belief.
Extreme machines and street fights,
Explosions are the only relief.

A barricaded heart,
Surrounded by a soul on fire.
Live the fleeting thought,
Covered in dreams of desire.

An era of transformation,
Mind and soul must grow too.
Looking back from the edge,
An awakening point of view.

About this poem
