I heard the cry from Zion
Weeping on the wind
Hear the roar of Judah's Lion
Oh now the fight will begin

I heard Zion's cry, of rage!
I watched cries of such loss
World rushes to turn the page
Before they've counted the cost

Pray for Jerusalem's peace
But listen to the roar of the Lion
For the enemy's rage won't cease
Till the Lord sits down on Zion

I heard the cry from Zion
And prayed for Jerusalem's peace
Though I weep for the pain and dying
I lift my eyes, my watching won't cease

Take heed Christian, to Zion's cry
And keep Israel safety in your prayers
For know that our redemption draws nigh
Through this pain the whole world shares
