Out of the furnace

Nam vet he was
Death faced often.
Jungles of the
Strange East.
Done for his country
Seeds of new democracy.
Load of crap that was.

Back small Milltown
Dad's factory
Paid some bills.
But loans were ruination
For Rodney.
Horses.
Twenty-one.
Sports scores.
Failures every one.

Dafoe had his biggest tab.
Thinking of fights
In the backwoods.
Good return for
One cut up the least.
But maiming and death
Viable horrid outcomes.
Eventually Rodney bit
The bullet.
Harrelson the weapon
Of ruin.
Messy death and disposal.

Brotherly revenge in
The film's remainder.
Sheriff Whittaker
Witness to much.
Ineffective.
Small town mourns
A little.
Still needs paint.
Solid doors
Porches shored up.

Harrelson dark
Foreboding face, unshaven.
But terror's eyes
Shining out like
A wolf of darkness.
Until snuffed.
